Fitchburg Reservoir Project

NCLT has been working with the City of Fitchburg, DPW and the Water Department to protect sensitive watershed land near the Fitchburg Reservoir. Our assistance to the City has involved extensive fieldwork and mapping of water supply Zone A, landowner outreach, obtaining surveys and appraisals and drafting state water supply protection grants. This conservation project will protect approximately 175 acres of land through conservation restrictions, which will prevent the land from being developed. The property to be protected includes a 10 acre pond and a tributary that flows into Lovell Reservoir.
